The managers of the Kruger National Park have handed out awards to its employees who have given the best service and ensured the optimum experience for visitors and guests.
Many people work behind the scenes to ensure that tourists on safari in Kruger Park enjoy their experience and those who have performed well were recognised at an awards ceremony held in Skukuza on November 23rd.
Kruger Park managing executive Dr Bandile Mkhize said: "This is our attempt to honour those members of our staff who have excelled during the past year or who have given excellent service to our guests over a long period of time."
Accolades were handed out to 42 park staff members in a number of categories, including 'outstanding service in the workplace' and 'outstanding service to a tourist, client or customer'.
In addition to the individual awards, collective honours were also given to the various camps, entrance gates and ranger posts that ensure the park runs smoothly.
