A special birding event has been planned for the southern Cape region of South Africa, it has been announced.
People on South Africa holidays will take part in the event at the Ebb and Flow rest camp in the Wilderness National Park between October 2nd and 7th this year, South Africa National Parks announced.
The initiative will work on a full catering basis and participants will be able to enjoy audiovisual presentations every day covering the wildlife that exists in South Africa.
There will also be tours, led by qualified guides, of the five ecological biomes in the area, which cover the categories of Karoo scrub, forest, mountain fynbos, inland water and coastal birds.
The event will be carried out under the auspices of the Southern Cape Honorary Rangers and the support of South African company Sasol and the Glendower golf course.
SANParks is responsible for managing a system of parks which represent the indigenous flora, fauna and landscapes of South Africa.
