Sports fans looking forward to a holiday to Zambia next month may have the opportunity to catch some top-class golf at the Zambia Open.
Some 111 professional players on the Sunshine Tour have signed up for the event, which is set to take place in Chainami Hills in Lusaka, the Times of Zambia reports.
Current champion Steve Basson is among the players who have confirmed that they will appear, along with two other former winners.
English visitors will be able to see three players representing their home country, with most participants coming from South Africa.
The Zambia Golf Union (ZGU) said that it plans to adequately prepare the home country's entrants into the Open to ensure that they provide some competition to the top golfers on the tour.
President Joel Malanji said: "We are banking on the four professionals and as ZGU, we want to ensure they have adequate preparations before the open."
Since the inception of the tournament, the closest a Zambian golfer has come to winning was in 2006, when Madalitso Muthiya came second.
