People on South Africa holidays who like to follow the country's cricket side could soon have a new generation of stars to watch following the opening of a new academy.
A new centre to train youngsters who show sporting talent is set to be launched by national star Makhaya Ntini, according to SouthAfrica.info.
Ntini's talent was spotted while he was still a child and working as a cattle herder in Mdingi in the Eastern Cape.
His rise from humble beginnings to international fame has led to him being one of the most popular sportsmen in South Africa.
Commenting on the motivation behind the new academy, Ntini said: "I want to see more black players coming through.
"I started off with Baker's Mini Cricket and then went through the development programme, and I believe there are other Makhaya Ntinis out there."
The bowler also promised that he will be "hands on" and play an active part in the work at the academy.
