People on Cape Town holidays were treated to a spectacular sight last week when an Argentinean frigate docked in the city's harbour.
The Libertad, a 104-metre-long, seven-sailed vessel, visited the coastal holiday hotspot on April 26th, the South African Broadcasting Corporation reports.
Its stop in Cape Town was part of a round-the-world goodwill tour and was intended to celebrate the good relations between South Africa and Argentina, which have a number of bilateral trade agreements.
During its stay in Cape Town, the Libertad picked up South African Navy officer Thandeka Snail, who will spend two months on the ship training in seafaring and navigation.
The harbour and seafront areas are among the most attractive elements of the city for people on Cape Town holidays.
One of the most popular locations of all is the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, situated between Robben Island and Table Mountain in the heart of the harbour, where visitors can take advantage of a number of shopping and entertainment options.
