Investigations have begun to try to unravel the mystery of a shipwreck that was recently discovered off the coast of Namibia.
The treasure-laden wreckage was discovered by diamond mining company Namdeb last month.
Speaking to local newspaper the Namibian, archaeologist Dieter Noli said that the easiest part of excavating a wreck site the digging work and the recovery of significant materials has already been done.
Now, experts face the difficult job of analysing what was found.
It could take months before the story of what happened to the vessel is put together, but Mr Noli said he was determined to solve the mystery.
"We have to piece together the puzzle. It's a fascinating story," he said.
Once the archaeologists have finished their work, the recovered items could become a new attraction for people on Namibia holiday trips in one of the country's museums.
