A new theme park and residential development in South Africa's KwaZulu-Natal province is set to create some 16,000 jobs, according to reports.
People on South Africa holidays in the future will be able to visit the internationally-branded park in the Macambini area on the KwaZulu-Natal north coast.
Provincial leader Sibusiso Ndebele said that the new development was the result of an investment deal agreed with an organisation in Dubai earlier this year, BuaNews reports.
Some 16,000 full-time or 32,000 half-day jobs are set to result from the project, as well as substantial contributions to the local economy.
"The project will increase the range and scale of economic activities for the local communities as well as the greater north coast and increase the demand for a range of products and services, thereby creating a better life for these communities," Mr Ndebele added.
New attractions in KwaZulu-Natal could prove of interest to people on Kruger park safaris as the province borders Mpumalanga, the region that is home to the famous wildlife reserve.
