People planning holidays or honeymoons in South Africa in the future will be interested to hear that plans are in place to extend the duration of the Grahamstown Arts Festival.
This year's outing of this event kicked off today (June 26th) and will run until July 5th.
In future years, however, the dates of the festival could be changed to ensure that it is synchronised with the World Cup in 2010, the South African Broadcasting Corporation reports.
Nosimo Balindlela revealed the future plans during the official opening of the festival.
For the past 20 years, the National Arts Festival has been led by director Lynette Marais, who will be taking retirement in December this year.
One of the positive elements of the festival this year has been the ability of small bed and breakfast business to accommodate visitors, a trend that has been welcomed by arts and culture minister Pallo Jordan.
