A new James Bond film could well be filmed in Durban, it has been claimed.
According to a report in South Africa's Independent Online news resource notes that currently a Bollywood film is being shot in Durban - and that this could lead to locations being used for a Bond film at some point in the future.
The news provider notes that the country had been considered as a possible location for Casino Royale, but was not used in the end.
"We are hoping the people behind James Bond consider South Africa, and Durban, as one of their locations for another Bond movie," Toni Monty, acting chief executive for the Durban Film Office told the website.
Aside from Durban, there are a number of other locations that both tourists and film crews alike may be interested in. A Kruger national park safari could give visitors a taste of the local wildlife, for example.
Earlier this year, the Kruger national park safari rangers demonstrated their knowledge of conservation as part of a Ranger's Day.
