'Best time ever' for Cape Town visit
Published: 27/03/2009
Sport fans in the UK should find that now is the best time ever to go on holiday in Cape Town, South Africa.
This is the suggestion of a new article in the Telegraph, which states that the great value-for-money that the city offers and the upcoming Indian Premier League and British Lions tour make the next few months the ideal time to travel.
"With a string of other sporting events coming up and an exchange rate that favours the pound, there has never been a better time for a visit," the piece read.
The article's author, Graham Boynton, said that while there will not be any Lions test matches played in Cape Town, many of those travelling to watch the tour will likely base themselves near to the city.
It was more than a decade ago that the Lions last toured South Africa, which ended in a 2-1 test victory for the visitors.
