Print Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive Cape Town Airport and meet your South African rugby host, who will transfer you to your luxury hotel.

Check in to your magnificent surrounding, settle in and relax before enjoying a special welcome dinner this evening.

Day 2 and 3

Tabble MountainYour rugby holiday starts today as players are transferred to play Club Rugby against appropriately matched local clubs for the next two days, whilst enjoying the warm Mediterranean climate and endless blue skies of Cape Town.

Each day enjoy a competitive rugby match, before socialising with the opposing team over dinner – typically a traditional South African barbeque (“braai”).

All rugby arrangements will be made for you and a referee will be provided on request.

NON-PLAYERS:
Cape Town City Tour (half day)
Cape Point Tour (half day)

Day 4

Today is free for independent sightseeing in Cape Town.

You will be given a day pass for the convenient red Hop-On Hop-Off Bus, which stops at all Cape Town’s key sights and beaches. Start by ascending Table Mountain by cable car to enjoy one of the world’s most famous views. Continue to Camps Bay beach and then explore the shops and many other attractions of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Or simply relax on golden Camp’s Bay beach – the choice is yours!

Day 5

Robben IslandAt leisure in the beautiful city of Cape Town.

This evening enjoy another game of competitive Club Rugby against a local South African side – this time played under floodlights (subject to availability).

After play enjoy socialising with the opposing side or venture out and explore the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, which is the centre of Cape Town’s nightlife.

NON-PLAYERS
Robben Island (half day)

Day 6

After checking out of your hotel, your host will transfer you to the beautiful Stellenbosch Winelands. Travel via the scenic Franschhoek Valley, where a handful of French Huguenot refugees started South Africa’s now famous wine industry.

Guided by your host visit several different Wine Estates, sampling as you go! Enjoy a picnic lunch in the Winelands before visiting another wine estate in the afternoon.

Late afternoon return transfer to Cape Town Airport.

Day 6

GiraffeReturn transfer to Cape Town Airport for your 2-hour flight to Johannesburg.

You will be met at Johannesburg Airport and transferred to the beautiful malaria-free Pilanesberg Game Reserve, a 2-hour drive through the rural North West Province.

After checking into your luxury game lodge, enjoy your first game drive in an open-top game viewing vehicle in this superb Big Five game reserve, which is uniquely situated inside an extinct volcano.

Hopefully see elephants, lions, antelope and a wide variety of other game, before enjoying dinner in your warm African surroundings.

Day 7

ImpalaUp early this morning, when viewing conditions are at their best, for another open-top game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. We hope to see more of the Big Five today: lion, buffalo, rhino, elephant and leopard – as well as giraffe, wildebeest, crocodiles, hippos, antelope and many other interesting species, before returning to the lodge for breakfast.

The rest of the morning is at leisure. Visit the neighbouring gaming resort of Sun City, or relax beside the lodge swimming pool and visit the viewing hide. In the afternoon return to Pilanesberg Game Reserve for another open-top game drive, before dining at the lodge in the atmosphere that only the African bushveld can provide!

Day 8

Enjoy another early morning open-top game drive before breakfast and your return transfer to Johannesburg Airport.
