Day 1
You will be met at Dar Es Salaam Airport and transferred to your light aircraft flight to Mikumi National Park, which forms part of the greater Selous conservation area.
 
Check into your safari lodge in this vast national park, which supports huge herds of plains game and the predators that follow them, before enjoying a late afternoon game drive.
Day 2
Today enjoy the abundant game viewing of Mikumi National Park, which is named after the unique spindle-shaped Borassus palm trees.
 
The most accessible of Tanzania's great national parks, the vast open grasslands of the Mikumi flood plain are home to thousands of animals, including elephants, lion, buffalo, jackal, giraffe, yellow baboon, impala, hartebeest, zebra, wildebeest, kudu, roan and endangered wild dog. To the north are the Hippo Pools, with abundant bird life including bustards, saddle-bill storks, malacite kingfishers, hammerkops and hornbills
 
Bordered on two sides by stunning mountain ranges, superb game viewing is guaranteed!
Day 3
Enjoy an early morning game drive in Mikumi before your transfer to your light aircraft flight to remote Ruaha Game Reserve, the second largest wildlife reserve in Tanzania.
 
Check into your safari lodge in this magnificent wildlife wilderness and enjoy a late afternoon game drive in this pristine reserve.
Day 4
Today is devoted to game viewing in the previously inaccessible Ruaha Game Reserve, the second largest wildlife reserve in Tanzania.
 
Ruaha is a permanent hunting ground for lions, jackals, hyenas, cheetah and rare wild dogs which prey on zebras and antelope, with both the stunning roan and sable antelope found here as well as greater and lesser kudu. There are also thousands of elephants and buffalo and vast herds of gazelle, in beautful surroundings.
 
With over 450 bird species, including Eurasian migrating birds which flock to Ruaha twice a year (March/April and October/November), outstanding bird watching is also guaranteed.
 
 
Day 5
Enjoy an early morning game drive before your transfer to your light aircraft flight to the even more remote Katavi Game Reserve, the third largest national park in Tanzania but the least visited, due to its remote location
 
Check into your safari lodge and enjoy a late afternoon game drive in this wonderful wildlife wilderness.
 
Days 6 To 7
Enjoy abundant game viewing in the remote Katavi Game Reserve.
 
Lake Chada, a seasonal floodplain which lies in the centre of this vast wildlife sanctuary, is home to vast pods of hippos as well as huge herds of plains game on a scale seldom seen elsewhere - including elephants, zebra, giraffe, buffalo, lion, leopard and hyena.
 
Bird life is also outstanding - including storks, pelicans and other water birds - and in the evening enjy the pristine night sky, accompanied by the roars of lions and howling hyena!
 
Day 8
Enjoy an early morning game drive before your transfer to your light aircraft flight to Zanzibar.
 
You will be met at Zanzibar Airport and transferred to your hotel. Check in and relax in your wonderful surroundings on this exotic East African spice archipelago.
Days 9 To 12
At leisure to relax on the warm golden Indian Ocean beaches of the Zanzibar Archipelago.
 
You can enjoy a traditional Arab dhow cruise, catamaran sailing, magnificent scuba diving or deep sea fishing. If you wish to explore the island further, day excursions include a Spice Island tour, a snorkelling trip to Prison Island where you can see giant tortoises, a visit to Josani Forest or to Kizimkazi where you can see dolphins.
Day 13
Transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your light aircraft flight to Dar Es Salaam where you will be met and transferred to the international terminal for your flight home.
