Day 1
You will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel in this beautiful city, within sight of Table Mountain.

Check in and relax in your magnificent surroundings.
Day 2
Today is free for independent sightseeing in Cape Town.

To orientate yourself, we suggest you purchase a pass onboard the convenient Red Route Hop-Off Bus, which stops at all Cape Town’s key sights and attractions, including the Table Mountain cable car (discounted tickets are sold on the bus). Here you can ascend and enjoy one of the world's most famous views.

Continue to trendy Camps Bay beach and the many attractions of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront (pay all entrance fees locally).

Note: Don't let the colour of the bus confuse you. All buses are red, but they run two different routes - the Red City Route and the Blue Kirstenbosch Route.
Day 3
Today we recommend an optional full day shared tour to the beautiful Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where you may see baboons, ostrich and perhaps even dolphins or whales in season (July/November).

Your tour travels through Hout Bay and along spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive to the Cape Point peninsula, before returning via Simons Town and Fish Hoek. This is a scenic tour of the whole Cape Peninsula, with the optional opportunity of visiting the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

Note: Lunch is for your own account today. Group size is minimum 2 / maximum 15.
Day 4
In season, today we recommend a full day Whale Watching small group tour to the seaside town of Hermanus, a scenic 2-hour drive over Sir Lowry's Pass with spectacular views of False Bay.

From July to November, southern right and humpback whales come here to breed and this is considered the best location for land-based Whale Watching in the world. Once severely endangered, these magnificent creatures of the deep are now breeding successfully here due to a major international conservation effort. Weather permitting, take an optional boat ride to get closer views (pre-booking recommended, as boats have limited capacity).

Enjoy whale watching from the cliffs before returning to Cape Town, travelling through the apple orchids of Elgin and Sir Lowry's Pass.

Note: If you take the optional whale watching boat ride, wear a jacket as it can get cold on the boat and take a sun hat, sun glasses, binoculars, sunscreen, camera & small towel. Take your own snacks & drinks. You will be on the water for several hours in seas that can be rough, so if you are not a good sailor remember to take preventative travel sickness tablets well in advance.
Day 5
Today we suggest you make your own way to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Walk through the pedestrianised area to the Clock Tower in good time to board the ferry to Robben Island, the infamous prison home of Nelson Mandela.

The rest of your day is free to explore the shops and restaurants of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Note: You will need to take your passport for identification, when visiting Robben Island.
Day 6
Transfer 1-hour from Cape Town to the beautiful Stellenbosch Winelands.

Check into your hotel in this famous wine producing area, relax under the giant oak trees and savour the fine food and wines of this region.
Days 7 To 8
At leisure to explore the old university town Stellenbosch, which is surrounded by beautiful mountains and vineyards.

You can wander through its many street markets, craft shops and museums, including the Modern & Contemporary Art Gallery, or visit Stellenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Alternatively enjoy wine tasting using the Vine Hopper hop-off bus (advance booking online recommended).

Note: Vine Hopper bus does not operate on Sundays.
Day 9
Today transfer 2.5-hours from Stellenbosch to Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, situated at the foot of the Warmwaterberg Mountains in the heart of the Little Karoo.

After checking into your lodge, enjoy an afternoon game drive on these vast dry plains. Then relax and enjoy dinner under a superb night sky free of any light pollution.

Note: You must arrive at the gate in time for the 12:30 shuttle to the lodge. There is also a 16.00 shuttle but then you will miss your aftrenoon game drive. The last 1-hour to your lodge is on a gravel road.
Day 10
Rise at dawn to enjoy a shared open-top game drive with your ranger today in the vast Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, which is the size of Singapore.

Home of the rare white lion, Sanbona covers over 54,000 hectares of undulating mountains and plains in the arid yet spectacularly beautiful Little Karoo. Here you will find a wide variety of plains game such as cheetah, antelope, giraffe, kudu, impala and zebra - as well as elephants, buffalo and the rare riverine rabbit amongst many other species. On a relaxing boat ride on the lake, you will also see hippos and crocodiles.

The rest of the morning is free to relax by the lodge swimming pool and enjoy the indigenous flora and rock formations, before setting out again in the late afternoon for another game drive. There is also the opportunity to walk to see Bushman cave painting and in the evenings enjoy superb star gazing in the clear dark skies of the Karoo.
Day 11
Today transfer 3-hours to Cape Town Airport for your flight home.
