After a few days of independent holiday in Cape Town, this sociable escorted small group tour takes you to Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo, where you visit the Cango Caves and an Ostrich Farm, before continuing to the oyster capital of Knysna in the heart of the beautiful Garden Route. Visit Featherbed Nature Reserve & continue through the Tsitsikamma Forest to Port Elizabeth.

Day 1

You will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel in this beautiful city, within sight of Table Mountain.

Check in and relax in your magnificent surroundings.

Day 2

Today is free for independent sightseeing in Cape Town.

We recommend you purchase a day pass onboard the convenient Hop-Off Bus, which stops at all Cape Town’s key sights and beaches. The "Red Route" bus stops at the Table Mountain base station, where you can buy a ticket to ascend by cable car and enjoy one of the world’s most famous views. Continue to Camps Bay beach and the many attractions of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Day 3

At leisure to explore the beautiful city of Cape Town independently.

Choose one of the many local activities such as a visit to Robben Island, the infamous prison home of Nelson Mandela (advance booking essential in season); explore the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront or simply relax on golden Camps Bay beach – the choice is yours!

Day 4

This morning you will be collected from your Cape Town hotel around 08h00 for your small group tour along the beautiful Garden Route.

We leave Cape Town via Du Toits Kloof Pass and travel through the charming town of Swellendam and the mountains of the Huis River and Tradouw Pass. We continue along the famous Route 62 passing through the small towns of Barrydale and Calitzdorp, with wine tasting en route and where the true diversity of landscapes is highlighted through the ever-changing scenery.

Day 5

We start today with a visit to the world famous Cango Caves for a guided tour of its ancient stalagmites and stalactites.

We continue to an Ostrich Farm where we learn some fun facts about these strange flightless birds and their magnificent plumage. Time permitting, an optional tour of the Crocodile & Cheetah is also available.

Day 6

Today we drive over the spectacular Outeniqua Pass to George. We enjoy an orientation tour of George and a view stop at beautiful Victoria Bay, before continuing along the scenic Garden Route via Wilderness to the oyster capital of Knysna.

Day 7

Today we start at the Knysna Waterfront, where we embark on the ferry to Featherbed Nature Reserve. On arrival we take a tractor-driven wagon ride to the top of the Western Head. An optional walking trail can be taken down through the indigenous Knysna Forest to the restaurant, where lunch is served (included).

Afternoon at leisure to explore beautiful Knysna, with its many craft shops.

Day 8

Today we leave Knysna and travel 1-hour along the scenic Garden Route to Tsitsikamma.

We pass through the "millionaires playground" of Plettenberg Bay and continue to the Bloukrans Bridge, the highest single span arch bridge in the world - which offers the highest bungy jump in the world!

We visit Tsitsikamma National Park and the scenic Storms River Mouth. Enjoy the scenery as we cross the suspension bridge, where photographic opportunities abound, before checking into our hotel in Tsitsikamma.

Day 9

Travel 2-hours to Port Elizabeth Airport for your flight home.
