After checking into your game lodge, enjoy your first game drive in an open-top game viewing vehicle in this superb Big Five game reserve, uniquely situated inside an extinct volcano. Hopefully see elephants, lions, antelope and a wide variety of other wildlife, before enjoying dinner in your warm African surroundings!
Day 2
Today is devoted to game viewing in Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Note: game drives are optional extras, if not included in your lodge package (see hotel details below).

Rise early when game viewing conditions are at their best, for a thrilling open-top game viewing drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. Hope to see several of the Big 5 - lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhino - as well as many other animals before returning to your lodge for breakfast.

The rest of the morning is free to relax by the swimming pool or visit neighbouring Sun City, before setting out again in the late afternoon for another game drive. Hope to see giraffe, wildebeest, hippo, kudu, antelope, waterbuck, warthogs, baboons and many other interesting species. Outstanding bird watching is also guaranteed.

After a beautiful African sunset, enjoy the balmy evening and pristine stars of the Milky Way as you have never seen them before – as well as the spectacular Southern Cross.

Children < 6 are not allowed on open top game drives
Day 3
Time permitting, enjoy a final early morning game drive in Pilanesberg Game Reserve before your 2-hour transfer to Johannesburg Airport for your onward flight.

You will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel in this beautiful city, within sight of Table Mountain.

Check in and relax in your magnificent surroundings.
Day 4
Today is free for independent sightseeing in Cape Town.

We recommend you purchase an optional day pass for the red route of the convenient Hop-Off Bus, which stops at all Cape Town’s key sights and beaches. Start by ascending Table Mountain by cable car (optional) to enjoy one of the world’s most famous views. Continue to Camps Bay beach and then explore the shops and many other attractions of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, which is also the centre of Cape Town’s nightlife.
Day 5
Today we recommend an optional full day tour to the beautiful Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where two oceans meet and where you may see see baboons, ostrich and perhaps even dolphins or whales in season (July/November).

Your tour travels through Hout Bay and along spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive (when open) to the Cape Point, returning via Simons Town, Fish Hoek, Constantia and Kirstenbosch Gardens. This is a scenic tour of the whole Cape Peninsula, with the optional opportunity of visiting the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
Day 6
At leisure to explore the beautiful city of Cape Town independently.

Choose one of the many local activities such as a visit to Robben Island, the infamous prison home of Nelson Mandela (advance booking essential in season); explore the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront or simply relax on golden Camps Bay beach – the choice is yours!
Day 7
Today we recommend an optional full day tour to the renowned Stellenbosch Winelands, travelling through the scenic Franschhoek Valley where a handful of French Huguenot refugees started South Africa’s now famous wine industry.

Explore the historic university town of Stellenbosch and several famous Wine Estates on this famous wine route, which stretched from Paarl through to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Enjoy a cellar tour and some wine tasting, before returning to Cape Town in the late afternoon.
Day 8
Transfer to Cape Town Airport for your flight home.
