Day 1
You will be met at Livingstone Airport, Zambia and transferred to your hotel on the banks of the Zambezi River, near the mighty Victoria Falls.

Check in, settle-in and relax whilst you catch your first glimpses of the magnificent Smoke That Thunders first discovered by Dr. David Livingstone and still one of the greatest natural wonders of the world. The flow of water over the Victoria Falls is greatest during the wet months (February to June) and are a magnificent sight.

Please note that as there is no lifting equipment at Livingstone airport, you will be carried on and off the aircraft using an aisle chair
Day 2
Today visit the mighty Victoria Falls offering magnificent views. Then relax by the swimming pool and enjoy the many facilities of your hotel.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a Sunset Cruise on the Zambezi River to see hippos, crocodiles and the abundant bird life.

Please note: you will be lifted onto the boat in your wheelchair
Day 3
Transfer 1-hour by road and ferry to the Botswana border at Kasane. After completing immigration formalities, continue 15-minutes to your game lodge overlooking the Chobe River.

Chobe National Park is Botswana’s premier wildlife reserve and is uniquely situated at the confluence of the Zambezi and Chobe Rivers, where four African countries meet – Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

After checking in to your lodge, enjoy your first thrilling safari drive in an open-top game viewing vehicle accompanied by a ranger. Game viewing opportunities should present themselves almost immediately in this vast game sanctuary and hopefully you will see elephant, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, antelope and other river-based wildlife today. Later dine overlooking the river in the atmosphere that only the African bushveld can provide!
Days 4 To 5
Today is devoted to game viewing in Chobe National Park.

Rise at dawn to take advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the day and enjoy a thrilling open-top game viewing drive into the great Chobe National Park. This region is home to some of Botswana’s most spectacular wildlife, as well as abundant bird life.

Chobe is home to vast herds of buffalo and elephant, as well as numerous other species which roam in profusion and diversity. During the dry season, vast elephant herds migrate from both south and north to congregate in their thousands along the Chobe River – the largest concentration of elephants in the whole of Africa! Also hope to see lion, leopard, cheetah, giraffe, hippo, kudu, crocodiles, antelope, waterbuck, warthogs, baboons and many other interesting animals before returning to your lodge for breakfast.

The rest of the morning is free to relax by the lodge swimming pool or enjoy bird watching by the Chobe River to give a completely different wildlife perspective.

In the afternoon enjoy another game activity and after a beautiful African sunset, enjoy the balmy evening and pristine stars of the Milky Way as you have never seen them before – as well as the spectacular Southern Cross.

You will be lifted into the front seat of the game viewing vehicle for your game drives. For your boat rides you will be lifted in your wheelchair down some steps at the jetty and onto the boat. Children < 6 are not allowed on open top game drives.
Day 6
Time permitting enjoy a final game drive, before your 15-minute transfer to the border and ferry at Kasane.

After completing immigration formalities, continue 1-hour to Livingstone Airport for your onward flight.

You will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel in this beautiful city, within sight of Table Mountain.

Check in and relax in your magnificent surroundings.
Day 7
Today your host will collect you for a full day tour of Cape Town.

Weather permitting, we start by ascending Table Mountain by cable car, to enjoy one of the world’s most famous views, before a short tour of the "Mother City" to view sites of historical and architectural interest.

We continue to the fishing village of Hout Bay for a short boat trip to view Cape Fur seals at Seal Island (you will be lifted onto the boat in your wheelchair - not possible for heavy or power chairs).

We complete our day with a visit to beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens, which is world renowned for its wide diversity of fynbos and protea, before returning to your hotel.
Day 8
Today enjoy a full day tour to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.

Enjoy wonderful ocean views, as we drive around the Cape Peninsula from Muizenberg to naval Simonstown, where we stop at Boulders Beach to see the resident penguin colony. We continue to Cape Point where we hope to see ostrich, baboons and perhaps even dolphins or whales in season (August to November).

At Cape Point we take a funicular ride to the Old Lighthouse (wheelchair accessible), before returning to Cape Town via spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive (when open) or the Old Cape Road.
Day 9
Transfer to the Clock Tower on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for the ferry to Robben Island, the infamous prison home of Nelson Mandela. The guides are all former prisoners, each able to provide their own personal insight into conditions on the island and a very poignant experience.

Balance of day free to explore the shops and restaurants of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Note: You will be lifted onto the ferry in your wheelchair - not suitable for heavy or power chairs
Day 10
Enjoy a full day tour of the renowned Stellenbosch Winelands today, travelling through the scenic Franschhoek Valley where a handful of French Huguenot refugees started South Africa’s now famous wine industry.

Visit the historic university town of Stellenbosch and several different Wine Estates of your choice – sampling as you go! Enjoy lunch at a good restaurant or wine estate (own account), before visiting the Cheetah Outreach project in Somerset West on the way home.
Day 11
Transfer to Cape Town Airport for your flight home.
