If you would like to combine a visit to Cape Town with time relaxing on the warm Indian Ocean beaches of Durban and experience its exciting Zulu culture, then this holiday is for you. Ascend Table Mountain, visit Cape Point & the winelands of Stellenbosch, before flying to Durban where you will enjoy a visit to uShaka Marine World and Shakaland Zulu Village.

Day 1
You will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel in this beautiful city, within sight of Table Mountain.
  
Check in and relax in your magnificent surroundings.
Day 2
Today your guide will collect you for a full day tour of Cape Town. Weather permitting, we start by ascending Table Mountain by cable car, to enjoy one of the world’s most famous views, before a short tour of the "Mother City" to view sites of historical and architectural interest.
 
We continue to the fishing village of Hout Bay for a short boat trip to view Cape Fur seals at Seal Island (you will be lifted onto the boat in your wheelchair - not possible for heavy or power chairs).
 
We complete our day with a visit to beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens, which is world renowned for its wide diversity of fynbos and protea, before returning to your hotel.
Day 3
Transfer to the Clock Tower on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for the ferry to Robben Island, the infamous prison home of Nelson Mandela. The guides are all former prisoners, each able to provide their own personal insight into conditions on the island and a very poignant experience.
 
Balance of day free to explore the shops and restaurants of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Day 4
Today your guide will collect you for a full day tour to the beautiful Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where two oceans meet.
  
Enjoy wonderful ocean views as we drive around the Cape Peninsula to naval Simonstown, where we visit the resident penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
 
We continue to Cape Point where we hope to see baboons, ostrich and perhaps even dolphins or whales in season (July to November). We take an accessible funicular ride up to the Old Lighthouse, before returning via spectacular Chapman’s Peak when open, or the Old Cape Road.
Day 5
Enjoy a full day tour of the renowned Stellenbosch Winelands today, travelling through the scenic Franschhoek Valley where a handful of French Huguenot refugees started South Africa’s now famous wine industry. Visit the historic university town of Stellenbosch and several different wine estates of your choice – sampling as you go!
 
Enjoy lunch at a good restaurant or wine estate (own account), with the option of more wine tasting or a visit to the Cheetah Outreach project in Somerset West on the way home.
Day 6
Transfer to Cape Town Airport for your onward flight.

You will be met at Durban Airport and transferred 30-minutes to your hotel on the North Coast of KwaZulu Natal, renowned for its wonderful beaches and reliably warm holiday weather all year round.
  
Check in, settle in and relax on the shores of the warm Indian Ocean.
Day 7
Today your guide will show you the highlights of Durban on a city tour, including the City Hall and the Botanical Gardens.
 
Continue to uShaka Marine World situated in the old harbour area that is being extensively re-developed. Here you have the opportunity of viewing large indigenous sharks of the Indian Ocean and a wide variety of other marine animals, including the opportunity to interact with dolphins, seals and penguins.
Days 8 To 9
Relax on the warm golden beaches of the KwaZulu Natal Durban North Coast.
 
Many optional activities are available such a Durban City tour or a visit to Ushaka Marine World, with its sharks, dolphins, penguins, turtles and other sea life.
Day 10
Today enjoy a full day excursion into Zululand, as we travel 2-hours from Durban to visit an authentically reconstructed Zulu Village and learn more about traditional Zulu life and culture.
 
Enjoy some energetic Zulu dancing, taste the cuisine and admire their intricate beadwork, before returning to your hotel.
Day 11
Transfer 30-minutes to Durban Airport for your flight home.
