Day 1
You will be met at Antananarivo Airport and transferred to your hotel in the capital city of the enormous island of Madagascar.
 
Check in to your hotel and relax in your warm surroundings.
 
Before leaving the airport, remember to withdraw local currency from the cash machine for lunches along the way (approx 15,000 ariary per person) and buy plenty of bottled drinking water for your journey
Day 2
Today depart from Antananarivo and travel 5-hours with your private driver/guide to the wonderful Andasibe-Mantadia region.
 
Travelling through abundant rice paddies and local villages, you will get a good feel for traditional Malagasy life with their long red clay houses and many roadside markets. Visit a farm along the way where you can see reptiles and butterflies, before arriving at Andasibe in the afternoon.
 
After checking into your lodge, we visit the Vakona Private Reserve and Lemur Island to observe nocturnal lemur species - a very special experience (headlamps recommended).
Days 3 To 4
Today enjoy a full day exploring Andasibe National Park, a huge rain forest that includes the National Park of Mantadia and the Special Reserve of Analamazoatra (also known as the Perinet Reserve).
 
Here we hope to see the Indri-Indri, the largest species of lemurs that are easily seen and heard because of their impressive shrieks. There are 9 endemic species of lemurs in this great wildlife sanctuary, 28 species of reptiles and over 100 bird species. Also tenrecs (similar to hedgehogs) and chameleons.
 
The indigenous flora is also outstanding and includes hundreds of species of orchids that blossom in October & November, many species of ferns, sacred creepers, lichens and dwarf palm trees.
Day 5
After a morning at leisure, today we travel 5-hours from Andasibe Mantadia back to Antananarivo.
 
Check in to your hotel near Antananarivo Airport.
Day 6
Transfer to Antananarivo Airport for your onward flight.

You will be met at Mauritius Airport and transferred 1-hour to your beach resort.
 
Check in to your hotel, settle in and relax on this wonderfully warm Indian Ocean island, surrounded by crystal clear turquoise waters and coral reefs.
Days 7 To 12
Relax and unwind on the white sandy beaches of Mauritius, as you treat yourself to fine food and wonderful entertainment. Enjoy lazy days swimming and snorkelling in the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, or relax on the beach or beside the swimming pool whilst enjoying the many facilities of your luxury resort hotel.

Full day Catamaran cruises are very popular for dolphin watching, as well as glass-bottom boats to view the tropical fish and coral reefs that surround the island. Day Tours include visits to Grand Baie, with its pubs and nightlife and the capital city of Port Louis, where you must expect to bargain vigorously! Also day trips to the south and east of the island.
  
Golf and Horse Riding are nearby, as well as the opportunity to hire a bicycle to explore the island at your own pace. Mauritius also offers wonderful Scuba Diving, with fully equipped dive centres offering a variety of PADI courses. If you have never tried it before, these clear calm waters offer an ideal location in which to learn to scuba. Deep Sea Fishing for giant marlin or reef fishing for giant trevally also offer thrilling activities.
 
With its warm tropical weather all year-round, magnificent hotels and wonderful hospitality, Mauritius offers a welcoming and vibrant Indian Ocean Island experience.
Day 13
Transfer 1-hour to Mauritius Airport for your flight home.
