Day 1
You will be met at Windhoek Airport and transferred to your light aircraft flight to Etosha, flying across the beautiful landscapes of Northern Namibia.

You will be met at the Etosha landing strip and transferred to your lodge near the entrance to the famous Etosha National Park. Etosha owes its unique landscape to a vast shallow depression called the Etosha Pan. During the dry season it becomes an expanse of white cracked mud, shimmering with mirages and spiralling dust devils, with its open pans offering magnificent game viewing. Etosha is home to over 100 different species of mammals including cheetah, leopard, lion, elephant, rhino, giraffe, zebra and wildebeest.

Check into your Etosha game lodge and enjoy your first game drive, before dining under the stars in the atmosphere that only the African bushveld can provide!
Days 2 To 3
Today is devoted purely to the abundant wildlife of the famous Etosha National Park, one of the largest wildlife conservation areas in Africa surrounding an enormous salt pan that is the size of the Netherlands. Note: game drives are optional extras, if not included in your lodge package (see hotel details below).

Rise at dawn to take advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the day, as you enjoy a thrilling open-top game viewing drive in Etosha National Park. Explore the vast Etosha Pan, which offer magnificent game viewing opportunities including springbok, oryx, black-faced impala and the small Damara dik-dik. A series of waterholes throughout the park guarantees rewarding game viewing, with Etosha being renowned for its vast arrays of plains game and its “great cats” which are more easily seen on the open pans. Hope to see lion, elephant, rhino and possibly leopard, before returning to your lodge for breakfast.

The rest of the morning is free to relax by the lodge swimming pool, before setting out again in the late afternoon for another game drive. With over 100 different species of mammals and reptiles in Etosha National Park you can hope to see cheetah, giraffe, kudu, sable antelope, warthogs, baboons and many other interesting animals. Etosha is also a bird watchers paradise, with hundreds of recorded bird species and many migrants during the summer months.

After a beautiful African sunset, enjoy the balmy evening and pristine stars of the Milky Way as you have never seen them before – as well as the spectacular Southern Cross.

Children < 6 are not allowed on open top game drives

You will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel in this beautiful city, within sight of Table Mountain.

Check in and relax in your magnificent surroundings.
Day 4
Today is free for independent sightseeing in Cape Town.

We recommend you purchase an optional day pass for the red route of the convenient Hop-Off Bus, which stops at all Cape Town’s key sights and beaches. Start by ascending Table Mountain by cable car (optional) to enjoy one of the world’s most famous views. Continue to Camps Bay beach and then explore the shops and many other attractions of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, which is also the centre of Cape Town’s nightlife.
Day 5
Today we recommend an optional full day tour to the beautiful Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where two oceans meet and where you may see see baboons, ostrich and perhaps even dolphins or whales in season (July/November).

Your tour travels through Hout Bay and along spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive (when open) to the Cape Point, returning via Simons Town, Fish Hoek, Constantia and Kirstenbosch Gardens. This is a scenic tour of the whole Cape Peninsula, with the optional opportunity of visiting the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
Day 6
At leisure to explore the beautiful city of Cape Town independently.

Choose one of the many local activities such as a visit to Robben Island, the infamous prison home of Nelson Mandela (advance booking essential in season); explore the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront or simply relax on golden Camps Bay beach – the choice is yours!
Day 7
Transfer 45-minutes from Cape Town to the beautiful Stellenbosch Winelands.

Check into your hotel, relax under the giant oak trees and savour the fine foods and wines of this famous region.
Day 8
We recommend an optional full day tour of the renowned Cape Winelands today, travelling through the scenic Franschhoek Valley where a handful of French Huguenot refugees started South Africa’s now famous wine industry.

Explore the historic university town of Stellenbosch and visit several famous Wine Estates for a cellar tour and some wine tasting.

In the evening you have the opportunity of dining in one of several outstanding local restaurants (advance reservations essential in season).
Day 9
At leisure to relax in the beautiful Stellenbosch Winelands, surrounded by mountains and vineyards.

Optional activities include exploring on foot the old town with its many street markets, craft shops and museums, or further expoloring the famous wine routes of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl.
Day 10
Transfer 30-minutes to Cape Town Airport for your flight home.
