Day 1
You will be met at Arusha Airport and transferred to your hotel.

Check in and relax in your wonderfully warm East African safari surroundings, under clear blue skies.
Day 2
Today transfer to Arusha Airport for your light aircraft flight to the great Serengeti, which means "Endless Plains".

A World Heritage site, Serengeti National Park hosts the largest and longest wildlife overland migration in the world as around October each year, nearly 2 million animals travel 500 miles from the northern hills toward the southern plains - crossing the Mara River in pursuit of the rains. In April the animals return to the north, through the west, once again crossing the Mara River in their migration. Check into your lodge and enjoy the superb wildlife.
Days 3 To 4
Today is devoted to game viewing in the great Serengeti National Park.

This vast conservation area, which is larger than Northern Ireland, lies between Lake Victoria in the west, Lake Eyasi in the south and the Great Rift Valley in the east. The landscape varies from open grass plains in the south, savanna with scattered acacia trees in the centre, hilly wooded grasslands in the north and woodlands and clay pans in the west - with small rivers, lakes ands swamps scattered throughout.

With more than 70 large mammals and over 500 other animal species, including large prides of lions and great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelle, outstanding game viewing is guaranteed on a scale only seen in East Africa. Bird watching is also outstanding.
Day 5
Enjoy an early morning game drive in the great Serengeti before your transfer to your light aircraft flight to the Selous Game Reserve, the largest wildlife reserve in Africa.

Check into your safari lodge in this magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its amazing diversity of wildlife and undisturbed nature, before enjoying a late afternoon game drive.
Days 6 To 7
Today enjoy superb game viewing in the vast and little visited Selous Game Reserve - either by safari vehicle or by boat along the river.

Named after the famous hunter and early conservationist, Frederick Courtney Selous, this great game reserve covers an area of over 21,000 square miles (54,000 square km) - making it larger than Switzerland and four times the size of the Serengeti.

As a result, many game species can be found here in greater numbers than in any other game park in Africa - including over 70% of Tanzania's elephants. Hippo, buffalo and crocodiles are abundant and lion, hyena, wild dog and rhino can also be seen. Also gnu, hartebeest, kudu, sable, eland, reedbuck, bushbuck, waterbuck, warthog, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, leopard and cheetah. There are over 350 different bird species too, including the bataleur eagle, and walking safaris are permitted.
Day 8
After some final game viewing in the Selous Game Reserve, transfer to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Dar Es Salaam Airport and onward flight home.
