Day 1
You will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel in this beautiful city, within sight of Table Mountain.
 
Check in and relax in your magnificent surroundings.
Day 2
Today is free for independent sightseeing in Cape Town.
 
We recommend you purchase a day pass onboard the convenient Hop-Off Bus, which stops at all Cape Town’s key sights and beaches. The "Red Route" bus stops at the Table Mountain base station, where you can buy a ticket to ascend by cable car and enjoy one of the world’s most famous views. Continue to Camps Bay beach and the many attractions of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
Day 3
Today we recommend an optional full day tour to the beautiful Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where two oceans meet and where you may see see baboons, ostrich and perhaps even dolphins or whales in season (July/November).
  
Your tour travels through Hout Bay and along spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive (when open) to the Cape Point, returning via Simons Town, Fish Hoek, Constantia and Kirstenbosch Gardens. This is a scenic tour of the whole Cape Peninsula, with the optional opportunity of visiting the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
Day 4
At leisure to explore the beautiful city of Cape Town independently.
 
Choose one of the many local activities such as a visit to Robben Island, the infamous prison home of Nelson Mandela (advance booking essential in season); explore the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront or simply relax on golden Camps Bay beach – the choice is yours!
Day 5
This morning you will be collected from your Cape Town hotel for your group adventure tour travelling in a rugged 4x4 overland truck.
 
We leave at 8 am from 39 Castle Street (corner Castle & Burg Streets - opposite the Cape Sun hotel) and drive 1-hour to the Spier Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, where we visit a cheetah breeding centre and enjoy some wine tasting. On a clear day you can enjoy magnificent views of Table Mountain. We continue our overnight accommodation, with dinner out (optional).
 
Regardless of lodge meal plans, all your meals are included whilst on tour and will be prepared & served from the overland vehicle - except for optional dinners in Stellenbosch, Durban & Johannesburg. Alcohol is not included. Accommodation varies and includes lodges, hotels, hostels, chalets, permanent tented camps and traditional huts. Bedding is provided, but you do need to bring your own towel.
 
Average group size is 14 people (with minimum of 4 and maximum of 18). On accommodated tours the average age is 40+, with a range from 18 to 55 years although this does vary by tour. If over 65 you will need a doctor's certificate stating you are sufficiently fit for overland travel. Teens aged 16 to 18 years are on request and must travel with an adult.
Day 6
Today you will be introduced to the dramatic and contrasting beauty of South Africa on our scenic 5-hour drive along spectacular Route 62 to Oudtshoorn in the arid Little Karoo.
  
On arrival in Oudtshoorn we visit the world-renowned Cango Caves – a vast series of underground halls and caverns formed over 20 million years ago in the foothills of the Swartberg Mountains. The caves, which extend for over 3 miles, contain spectacular stalagmites and stalactites and offer relatively easy access.
 
Later in the afternoon there is the opportunity to visit an Ostrich Farm (optional) to view these huge flightless birds in their natural surroundings.
 
Day 7
Today we travel from Oudtshoorn through the spectacular Outeniqua Pass, and 2-hours along the beautiful Garden Route to Knysna.
 
Your afternoon is free to explore Knysna in this area of outstanding natural beauty, before we continue to the holiday town of Plettenberg Bay. Optional activities include a Knysna Lagoon cruise, Knysna Elephant Park, Township Tour, 4x4 Forest Drive, Predator Rehabilitation Centre, Birds of Eden or Monkeyland visit.
Day 8
Today we travel 1-hour from Plettenberg Bay to the Tsitsikamma National Park, one of South Africa’s best-kept secrets which boasts exceptional hiking trails and superb coastal scenery.
 
Relax and explore the scenic beauty of the Tsitsikamma Forest.
Day 9
Today is free to explore the first few hours of the famous Otter Trail Hike.
 
Alternatively many optional adventure activities are available in Tsitsikamma - the adventure capital of South Africa - including black water tubing down the Storms River, abseiling down Storms River gorge, an exciting tree-top canopy tour or bungy jumping from Bloukrans Bridge, the highest commercial bungy jump in the world!
Day 10
We travel 4-hours today from Tsitsikamma to  the malaria-free Addo Elephant National Park in the beautiful Eastern Cape.
 
Our truck gives us an elevated view on our game drive this afternoon, particularly for those photographic enthusiasts amongst us. In addition to the elephants, you can hope to see antelope, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe and other plains game, as well as several of the Big Five before dining in your warm African surroundings. You can also take an optional open-top night drive with an Addo ranger.
Day 11
After a morning game drive in Addo Elephant Park, we drive 1-hour to the coastal city of Port Elizabeth where your tour ends with drop off at your hotel.
 
Check in and relax in this warm and friendly holiday city, with its many magnificent beaches.
Day 12
At leisure to relax on the golden beaches of Port Elizabeth.
Day 13
Transfer to Port Elizabeth Airport for your flight home.
