Day 1
You will be met at Mpumalanga Airport and transferred to the Jane Goodall Institute - known locally at Chimp Eden -  where you have the unique opportunity of viewing chimpanzees in semi-wild surroundings in South Africa's only chimpanzee sanctuary.
 
Afterwards we continue to your hotel situated on the banks of the beautiful Crocodile River, a natural boundary of the Kruger National Park.
Day 2
An early start this morning, as we enter the world famous Kruger National Park for a full day of game viewing in a closed vehicle in this vast 2-million hectare game sanctuary the size of Wales.
 
The Kruger National Park offers magnificent game viewing opportunities and the highest concentration of lion in the whole of Africa. With nearly 150 different species of mammals and over 100 species of reptiles, you can hope to see cheetah, giraffe, hippo, kudu, crocodiles, sable antelope, waterbuck, warthogs, baboons, wild dogs and many other interesting animals as well as the Big Five - Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino. With over 500 different bird species including eagles, kingfishers, vultures and storks, outstanding bird watching is also guaranteed. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 3
This morning we cross the border into Mozambique and travel 2.5-hours to the capital city of Maputo situated on the warm Indian Ocean.
 
After an orientation tour of the city, we take the ferry across Maputo Harbour and connect with our 4x4 vehicle, travelling 2-hours south along the spectacular coast to our lodge in this beautiful, isolated and relatively untouched region.
Day 4
At leisure to relax and enjoy the wonderful beaches of Mozambique.
 
You can take advantage of some of the best Scuba Diving and Deep Sea Game Fishing in the world, or enjoy horse riding along the beach. Wild dolphins and whale sharks are also sometimes spotted in these warm waters.
 
Day 5
This morning we visit a local Mozambique orphanage, before travelling southwards and re-entering South Africa near Kosi Bay.
 
We drive into Zululand, where ancient traditions and modern cultures have combined to form a vibrant society, and ontinue to Hluhuwe National Park for an afternoon game drive. This beautiful game park is famous for having saved the rhino from extinction.
Day 6
We visit the St Lucia Isimangaliso Wetlands today, an area that has been declared a World Heritage site because of its unique biodiversity and importance to marine conservation.
 
Enjoy a 2-hour boat cruise on the St Lucia estuary, home to a huge variety of bird life, crocodiles and hippo, with the afternoon at leisure. With over 500 different bird species in the region, bird watching is outstanding.
 
Optional afternoon excursion to Eastern Shores Game Reserve and Cape Vidal beaches (where you can snorkel) or optional afternoon open top game drive to Hluhluwe Game Reserve
Day 7
We depart from Zululand early this morning and enter the small mountainous Kingdom of Swaziland.
 
We visit the Ngwenya Mine, worked by Bushmen and Nguni people and reportedly the oldest mine in the world, dating back to 42,000 BC. We continue travelling through the beautiful mountains of Swaziland and check into our lodge in the late afternoon.
Day 8
This morning we visit the Nsangwini Rock Art, (weather permitting and walking shoes essential) to view some of the oldest Bushmen Paintings known to man.
 
We  re-enter South Africa and continue to Mpumalanga Airport with 12.00 drop off for your flight home.
