This escorted small group tour travels from Johannesburg to spectacular Tsehlanyane National Park in the small mountain kingdom of Lesotho, before continuing to Golden Gate and the Drakensberg Mountains of KwaZulu Natal. Complete your holiday on the warm beaches of Durban. Tour departs every Monday. Group size 2-7. German & English. No children < 12.

Day 1
You will be met at Johannesburg Airport and transferred to your hotel in this thriving city.
    
Check in and relax by the swimming pool under warm blue South African skies, or enjoy the many shops and restaurants.
Day 2
You will be collected from your Johannesburg hotel this morning for your small group tour of Lesotho and the Drakensberg Mountains to Durban.
 
We travel southwards through the farmlands of the Orange Free State to Bethlehem. We continue past Thaba Nchu and cross the border to Maseru in Lesotho and travel through Butha Buthe to our lodge in Tsehlanyane National Park.
Day 3
Today is free for walking and relaxation in your magnificent Lesotho mountain surroundings.
 
For the more adventurous, an optional day of Pony Trekking is available (pay locally).
Day 4
After an early breakfast, today we travel along the Roof of Africa route, admiring the mountains and valleys of Lesotho whilst ascending over 3,000m above sea level.
 
We re-enter South Africa and check into our hotel near Golden Gate, named for the colour of the setting sun on these dramatic mountain rock formations.
Day 5
Today we travel thorough Golden Gate National Park and through the dramatic Oliviershoek Pass and past Bergville and Winterton.
 
Enjoy the breathtaking mountain scenery on the way to our overnight destination near the foothills of the southern Drakensberg Mountains.
Day 6
Enjoy the beauty of the Natal Midlands on your 3-hours transfer to your hotel on the Durban North Coast, renowned for its wonderful beaches and reliably warm holiday weather all year round.
 
Check into your hotel and relax in lush sub-tropical surroundings on the shores of the warm Indian Ocean.
Days 7 To 8
At leisure to relax on the warm golden beaches of the KwaZulu Natal Durban North Coast.
 
Many optional activities are available such a Durban City tour, a visit to Ushaka Marine World, or a marine cruise to search for dolphins, turtles, sharks, whales (in season) and other fascinating sea life. Championship golf, horse riding, quad biking and deep sea game fishing is also available.
Day 9
Transfer 30-minutes to Durban Airport for your flight home.
