Without moving from your camp you may be privileged to witness herds of springbok, wildebeest, giraffe, lion or even cheetah. Surrounded by Camelthorn trees, this lofted camp overlooks a very active waterhole in the riverbed. The trees attract thousands of birds - sandgrouse, finches, doves and falcons, to name a few. Urikaruus is situated on the bank of Auob River between Twee Rivieren and Mata Mata camps. There are 4 units sleeping 2 people each and there is solar and gas power, but no conventional  plugs. The units are linked by a raised boardwalk. For supplies Twee Rivieren is a 2 hour drive away.

Kalahari Tented Camp, on the western border of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, is an excellent camp in a good location within the national park. The accommodation is basic, but comfortable. There is no restaurant but if you come well prepared, the self-catering can be a lot of fun. Communal kitchens come well stocked with standard cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery and there are barbeques available for shared use. The camp is completely open to the wilderness, with the animals drawn towards the watering hole and through the camp.

Twee Rivieren is the park’s largest rest camp in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park. It is situated on the banks of the Dry Nossob Riverbed. Twee Rivieren has a reception, shop, fuel, restaurant, information centre and swimming pool. This is the only camp with 24 hrs electricity and cell phone reception. Six-bed family chalet, two bedrooms, bathroom (shower), living room, air conditioner and fully equipped kitchen. Gharagab Wilderness Camp is a small and exceedingly remote, self-catering camp that lies in the extreme north of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park – quite close to Union's End. It's perched on a dune, above a floodlit waterhole, in what feels like the middle of nowhere. Both the entry and exit tracks are long, winding and quite challenging to drive, with some sharp bends and steep sandy inclines. You'll need a good 4WD. Gharagab Wilderness Camp has just four simple cabins, each constructed of wood and canvas and raised on a wooden deck overlooking camelthorn veld and a floodlit waterhole. Inside, two single beds are flanked by small cupboards for hanging clothes. A wooden door leads to the back, where the toilet and washbasin are separated by a canvas 'wall' from the shower. Towels are provided.
