VISAS
No visa required for holidays < 90 days
HEALTH
Southern & Central Namibia are malaria free, but malaria tablets are recommended for Etosha, Caprivi and far northen Namibia.
Vaccinations usually advised: Hepatitis A, Tetanus, Typhoid (sometimes also: Diphtheria, Hepatitis B, Rabies, TB)
CURRENCY
Namibian Dollar (NAD) - but South African Rand (ZAR) is legal tender (1 for 1)

TRAVEL TIPS
Light aircraft – Luggage should be in soft bags and there is often a weight restriction of 12kg
Self Drive – Driving is on the left. Any valid driving license is accepted as long as it has a photograph, a signature and is written in English.
Safari – Dress in neutral colours and take a warm jacket or fleece for evening and winter game drives. Don’t forget your binoculars and cameras
Plugs  - Type M. Round 3 pin. Current is 220/240 volts
Passport – Needs to be valid for 6 months after return date and have 2 blank facing pages
Tipping – Not compulsory but appreciated. As a guide – Waiters 10%, Porters R10 per bag, Guide R50per person per day.
Water – Tap water is generally safe to drink in major towns unless otherwise advised. Drink only bottled water in game parks and rural areas.
