Tanzania has a warm equatorial climate and can be visited all year round. The "short rains" occur in November and the "long rains" April to May, when game viewing remains excellent but the roads are muddy & slippery. January & February are the hottest months and July to September coolest, with the wildebeest migration from October to June.
