CRP12C: Cape Town + East Cape
Safari + Mauritius
Day 1
You will be met at Cape Town Airport and
transferred to your luxury hotel conveniently situated
near the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Check in
and relax in your magnificent surroundings.
Day 2
Today is free for independent sightseeing in Cape
Town.
You
will be given a day pass for the convenient red
Hop-On Hop-Off Bus, which stops at all Cape Town’s
key sights and beaches. Start by ascending Table
Mountain by cable car (optional) to enjoy one of the
world’s most famous views.
Continue to Camps Bay beach and then explore
the shops and many other attractions of the Victoria
& Alfred Waterfront, which is also the centre of
Cape Town’s nightlife.
Alternatively choose one of the many optional
excursions available, such as a visit to Robben
Island the infamous prison home of Nelson Mandela.
Or simply relax on golden Camp’s Bay beach – the
choice is yours!
Day 3
Today choose between a small group excursion to:
-
Cape
of Good Hope Nature Reserve where two oceans meet,
and where you may see baboons, penguins, ostrich,
antelope and dolphins; or
- Stellenbosch Winelands with vineyards
encircled by mountains, and including some
wine-tasting at wine estates; or
- Hermanus for a full day of whale watching
in season (July to November)
Days 4
At
leisure in the beautiful city of Cape Town.
Choose one of the many optional excursions available
today, such as a visit to Robben Island the
infamous prison home of Nelson Mandela, or explore the
many sights of Cape Town. Alternatively simply relax on
golden Camp’s Bay beach – the choice is yours!
Day 5
Transfer
to Cape Town Airport for your 1.5-hour flight to
Port Elizabeth.
You will be met at Port Elizabeth Airport and
transferred to your malaria-free Private Game Reserve,
a drive of 45-minutes from Port Elizabeth.
After checking into your
game lodge, in the afternoon enjoy your first game drive
in an open-top game viewing vehicle in this
Big Five game reserve. Hopefully see elephants,
lions, antelope and a wide variety of other game, before
enjoy dinner in your warm African surroundings.
Day 6
Up
early this morning, when viewing conditions are at their
best, for another open-top game drive in your
Private Game Reserve. We hope to see more of the
Big Five today: lion, buffalo, rhino, elephant and
leopard – as well as giraffe, wildebeest, antelope and
many other interesting species, before returning to the
lodge for breakfast.
The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the
swimming pool and other facilities of your lodge. In the
afternoon enjoy another open-top game drive,
before dining at the lodge in the atmosphere that only
the African bushveld can provide!
Day 7
Time
permitting, enjoy another early morning open-top game
drive before breakfast and your return transfer to
Port Elizabeth Airport for your 1.5-hour flight
to Johannesburg Airport and your onward 4-hour
international flight to Mauritius.
You will be met at
Mauritius Airport and transferred to your luxury
resort, a drive of just over 1-hour. Check in, settle in
and relax in your beautiful Indian Ocean Island,
surrounded by turquoise waters and coral reefs. Later
dine in style at your resort restaurant.
Days 8 to 12
Relax and unwind on the white sandy beaches of
Mauritius, as you treat yourself to fine food and
wonderful entertainment!
Enjoy lazy days swimming and snorkelling
in the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.
Or relax on the beach or beside the swimming pool,
whilst enjoying the many facilities of your luxury
resort hotel.
Activities at or near your resort are plentiful and
include:

- Floodlit tennis courts
- Football
- Table tennis
- Water polo

Full day Catamaran cruises are very popular,
as well as Dolphin-watching boat trips and
Glass-bottom boats to view tropical fish and coral
reefs.
Mauritius offers wonderful Scuba Diving, with
fully equipped dive centres offering a variety of PADI
courses. If have never tried before, these clear calm
waters offer an ideal location in which to learn to
scuba.
Deep Sea Fishing for giant marlin or Reef
Fishing for giant trevally offer thrilling
activities!
Golf and Horse Riding are nearby, as
well as the opportunity to Hire a Bicycle to
explore the island at your own pace.
Island sightseeing day excursions include
visits to Grand Baie, with its many pubs and
nightlife, and the capital city of Port Louis –
where you must expect to bargain vigorously.
With its warm tropical weather all year-round,
magnificent hotels and wonderful hospitality, Mauritius
offers a vibrant Indian Ocean Island experience.
Day 13
Return transfer to Mauritius Airport.
