OCB10C: Golf: Cape Town + Garden
Route
Day 1
Arrive Cape Town Airport, collect your hire
car and drive to your hotel in this beautiful city,
within sight of Table Mountain.
Check into your hotel, settle in and relax in your
magnificent surroundings.
Day 2

Drive today to play at the beautiful Clovelly
Country Club – a challenging championship course
with rolling fairways, water features and natural sand
dunes abutting the course (green fees & shared cart
included). Clovelly is scenically situated on the Cape
Peninsula near Fish Hoek within sound of the Indian
Ocean, with wonderful bird life.
After play enjoy the “19th hole”, a fine South African
golfing tradition, before returning to Cape Town.
Day 3
Today drive to Milnerton Golf Club – a
sociable club with a true links course situated on Table
Bay, with wonderful views of Table Mountain.
Enjoy 18-holes of golf (green fees & shared cart
included) and socialising with fellow golfers before
returning to Cape Town.
Day 4
Today
is free for independent sightseeing in Cape Town.
You will be given a day pass for the red route of the
convenient Hop-Off Bus which stops at all Cape
Town’s key sights and beaches. Start by ascending
Table Mountain by cable car (optional) to enjoy one
of the world’s most famous views. Continue to Camps Bay
beach and then explore the shops and many other
attractions of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, which
is also the centre of Cape Town’s nightlife.
Day 5
Drive to Stellenbosch today to play at
Erinvale Country Club – a renowned Gary Player
designed championship course that was home to the 1996
Golf World Cup and has hosted many South African PGA
events. This challenging course is surrounded by the
beautiful mountains and vineyards of the Cape Winelands
(green fee & shared cart included).
After play, we suggest visiting one of the many local
wine estate to enjoy some wine wasting.
Day 6

Drive to Cape Town Airport and drop off your
hire car for your onward flight.
Arrive George Airport, collect your hire car and
drive 1-hour through the Outeniqua Pass and along the
spectacular Garden Route.
Check into your hotel and relax in this area of
outstanding natural beauty.
Day 7
Drive to play 18-holes of championship golf today at
Simola Country Club – a Jack Nicklaus designed
course, with superb views over the Knysna estuary
(green fees & shared cart included).
After play enjoy socialising with fellow golfers at the
clubhouse.
Day 8
Today drive 1-hour along the beautiful Garden
Route to play 18-holes of championship golf at
Oubaai Golf Estate – a magnificent Ernie Else
designed course in his home town, with most holes having
views overlooking the Indian Ocean (green fees & shared
cart included).
After play enjoy socialising with fellow golfers at the
clubhouse.
Day 9
Today is free to explore the small town of Knysna
and its beaches.
Many optional activities are available in the area,
including an Ocean Safari to search for dolphins
and whales in season (July to November); Knysna Elephant
Sanctuary; sailing; deep sea fishing; horse riding;
mountain biking and championship golf. If you wish to
explore further afield, you can visit Monkeyland & Birds
of Eden near Plettenberg Bay or the Storms River Mouth
in the Tsitsikamma Forest.
Day 10
Today drive to play 18-holes at Pezula Country Club
– a spectacular championship course dramatically
situated on Knysna’s Western Head, with spectacular
Indian Ocean views.
This is a challenging course and will test your skills
from the tees (green fees & shared cart included).
After play explore the Knysna Waterfront with its
many shops and restaurants.
Day 11
Drive 1-hour along the Garden Route to drop off
your hire car at George Airport for your flight
home. |
