ORQ5G: Golf: Fancourt + Garden Route Safari

Day 1

You will be met at George Airport and transferred to the Fancourt Golf Estate, South Africa’s premier golf resort situated in the heart of the beautiful Garden Route.

Check in to this famous golf estate, voted Africa’s Leading Golf Resort and winner of numerous international golfing awards. Fancourt has hosted the World Cup of Golf and many other international PGA events.

Settle in and relax with fellow golfers in your convivial surroundings.

Days 2 and 3

Fancourt offers four outstanding Gary Player designed courses:

• The Links – Fancourt’s premier championship course and a true links experience. No carts are permitted on this course, where you pay your own caddy direct
  
  In the words of Gary Player “Links golf is how the game originated and at The Links we take golfers back to the roots of golf – and they can play a ‘British Open’ all of their own!”
   
• Outeniqua & Montagu – two world-class championship parkland layouts, both of which are rated in the top 10 of South African courses. Each course presents a true test of golf in aesthetically beautiful surroundings.
   
• Bramble Hill – a parkland course with Links features, offering a good mix of Fancourt’s other three courses. This course is a public facility and has been designed to offer golfers of every level a Fancourt experience, without the pressure so often associated with celebrated championship courses.

The Links, Outeniqua and Montagu courses are exclusive to club members and residents.

Fancourt also offers one of the finest Golf Academies in the world, with state-of-the-art practice and teaching facilities backed up by the expertise of PGA professionals and several well-stocked on-course pro shops offering all types of golf merchandise.

Day 4

After a final round of golf this morning, you will be transferred to your luxury malaria-free Private Game Reserve near Port Elizabeth, a scenic 4-hour drive along the beautiful Garden Route

Check in, settle in and relax in your African surroundings, before enjoying your first safari game drive in an open-top game-viewing vehicle, accompanied by a lodge ranger.

Experience the thrill of a Big-5 Safari as you search the African Plains for game in their natural surroundings, before returning to your lodge for dinner.

Day 5

Rise before dawn to take advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the day, as you search for the Big Five – lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard. You may also see giraffe, wild dogs, wildebeest, antelope and many other species of plains game.

Accommodation is on a full board basis and includes two game-viewing drives per day in an open game-viewing vehicle, with an experienced ranger (early morning and late afternoon).

Between game drives relax at your safari lodge, which has a swimming pool and also offers guided walks. Bird watching is also outstanding.

Day 6

Enjoy another early open-top game drive this morning, before returning to your lodge for breakfast.

Mid-morning return transfer to Port Elizabeth Airport (45-minutes)
