MRQ7Z: Quirimbas Islands

Day 1

Arrive Pemba Airport, Mozambique and connect with your light aircraft for your short flight to the spectacular Quirimbas Archipelago where you will be met and transferred to your luxury island lodge.

Check in, settle-in and relax on this Indian Ocean holiday island, with its vast unspoilt beaches fringed by palm trees and enjoy your beautifully prepared dinner.

Please note that luggage restrictions apply on light aircraft flights, which typically only allow soft bags (excess luggage can be stored locally for a fee, provided arranged in advance).

Days 2 to 7

Enjoy lazy days swimming in the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean, sunbathing on deserted golden beaches and snorkelling off the beach amongst fish of all descriptions.

You have unlimited access to all non-motorised water sports, which varies by resort but usually includes windsurfing, kite flying, ocean ski paddling and catamaran sailing. Or simply relax and enjoy the warm sunshine under endless blue skies.

Scuba divers can explore the renowned pristine Mozambique reef in warm water and fishermen can try their hand at light tackle, fly-fishing or exhilarating deep-sea game fishing, in waters considered to be the best for marlin in the world.

Walk along the endless beach exploring your island, with its prolific bird life (over 100 different species, including flamingos and pelicans) and on one afternoon enjoy a romantic Dhow sunset cruise.

Each evening enjoy a romantic dinner and understand what it means to be in paradise!

Day 8

Return transfer to Vilanculos for your onward flight to Johannesburg Airport and onward home.
