SRG12J: Sun City + Pilanesberg Safari + Mauritius

Day 1

You will be met at Johannesburg Airport and transferred to the fascinating international resort of Sun City, a 2-hour drive through the rural North West Province.

Check in to your luxury Sun City hotel and enjoy the many pleasures of this sophisticated resort, which offers the best of Vegas-style gaming combined with world-class sporting and family facilities. Settle in to your lush subtropical surrounding, under warm blue African skies.

Days 2 and 3

Relax and enjoy the many holiday facilities of Sun City. Although famous for its gaming activities, Sun City offers a wide variety of outdoor, family and sporting activities - making it one of South Africa’s most popular holiday destinations.

Its world-class Entertainment Centre includes slot machines and bingo, whilst the sophisticated Casino offers Black Jack, Roulette and much more.

Outside there are waterfalls and abundant tropical bird life. The Valley of the Waves water theme park offers both gentle rides and thrilling steep slides, as well as a man-made tropical beach with real waves!

There is an excellent gym and spa and a full range of sporting activities, including water sports on the dam, tennis courts and two world-class championship golf courses at the Gary Player Country Club and Lost City, where crocodiles are found in some water hazards!

Later simply relax at one of the many swimming pools and absorb the atmosphere of this very special resort.

Day 4

Midday transfer to the beautiful neighbouring malaria-free Pilanesberg Game Reserve.

After checking into your luxury game lodge, enjoy your first game drive in an open-top game viewing vehicle in this superb Big Five game reserve, which is uniquely situated inside an extinct volcano. Hopefully see elephants, lions, antelope and a wide variety of other game, before enjoy dinner in your warm African surroundings.

Day 5

Up early this morning, when viewing conditions are at their best, for another open-top game drive in the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. We hope to see more of the Big Five today – lion, buffalo, rhino, elephant and leopard – as well as giraffe, wildebeest, crocodiles, hippos, antelope and many other interesting species, before returning to the lodge for breakfast.

The rest of the day is at leisure to relax beside the lodge swimming pool or visit the viewing hide. In the afternoon return to Pilanesberg Game Reserve for another game drive, before dining at the lodge in the atmosphere that only the African bushveld can provide!

Day 6

Time permitting, enjoy another early morning open-top game drive before breakfast and your return transfer to Johannesburg Airport for your 4-hour international flight to Mauritius.

You will be met at Mauritius Airport and transferred to your luxury resort, a drive of just over 1-hour. Check in, settle in and relax in your beautiful Indian Ocean Island, surrounded by turquoise waters and coral reefs. Later dine in style at your resort restaurant.

Days 7 to 12

Relax and unwind on the white sandy beaches of Mauritius, as you treat yourself to fine food and wonderful entertainment!

Enjoy lazy days swimming and snorkelling in the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Or relax on the beach or beside the swimming pool, whilst enjoying the many facilities of your luxury resort hotel.

Full day Catamaran cruises are very popular, as well as Dolphin-watching boat trips and Glass-bottom boats to view tropical fish and coral reefs.

Mauritius offers wonderful Scuba Diving, with fully equipped dive centres offering a variety of PADI courses. If have never tried before, these clear calm waters offer an ideal location in which to learn to scuba.

Deep Sea Fishing for giant marlin or Reef Fishing for giant trevally offer thrilling activities!

Golf and Horse Riding are nearby, as well as the opportunity to Hire a Bicycle to explore the island at your own pace. Island sightseeing day excursions include visits to Grand Baie, with its many pubs and nightlife, and the capital city of Port Louis – where you must expect to bargain vigorously!

With its warm tropical weather all year-round, magnificent hotels and wonderful hospitality, Mauritius offers a vibrant Indian Ocean Island experience.

Day 11

Return transfer to Mauritius Airport for your flight home.
