SRW10J: Waterberg Safari + Mauritius
Day 1
You will be met at Johannesburg Airport by a
safari lodge representative and transferred 2-hours
through the Northern Transvaal to your beautiful
malaria-free private game reserve in the Waterberg
Mountains.
Check in, settle in and relax in your African
surroundings, before enjoying your first safari game
drive in an open-top game-viewing vehicle, accompanied
by a lodge ranger.
Experience the thrill of a Big-5 Safari as you
search the African Plains for game in their natural
surroundings, before returning to your lodge for dinner.
Days 2 and 3
Rise
before dawn to take advantage of the best game viewing
conditions of the day, as you search for the Big Five
– lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and leopard. You may
also see giraffe, zebra, wild dogs, wildebeest, antelope
and many other species of plains game.
Accommodation is on a full board basis and includes two
game-viewing drives per day in an open game-viewing
vehicle with a lodge ranger (early morning and late
afternoon).
Between game drives relax at your safari lodge, which
has a swimming pool and also offers guided walks. Bird
watching is also outstanding.
Day 4
Enjoy another early open-top game drive this morning,
before your return transfer to Johannesburg Airport
for your 4-hour international flight to Mauritius.
You will be met at Mauritius Airport by a hotel
representative and transferred to your luxury beach
resort, a drive of around 1-hour.
Check in, settle in and relax in your beautiful
Indian Ocean Island resort, surrounded by turquoise
waters and coral reefs. Later dine in style at your
resort restaurant.
Days 5 to 10
Relax and unwind on the white sandy beaches of
Mauritius, as you treat yourself to fine food and
wonderful entertainment!
Enjoy lazy days swimming and snorkelling
in the warm turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.
Or relax on the beach or beside the swimming pool,
whilst enjoying the many facilities of your luxury
resort hotel.
Activities at or near your resort are plentiful and
include:

Full day Catamaran cruises are very popular,
as well as Dolphin-watching boat trips and
Glass-bottom boats to view tropical fish and coral
reefs.
Mauritius offers wonderful Scuba Diving, with
fully equipped dive centres offering a variety of PADI
courses. If have never tried before, these clear calm
waters offer an ideal location in which to learn to
scuba.
Deep Sea Fishing for giant marlin or Reef
Fishing for giant trevally offer thrilling
activities!
Golf and Horse Riding are nearby, as
well as the opportunity to Hire a Bicycle to
explore the island at your own pace. Island sightseeing
day excursions include visits to Grand Baie, with its
many pubs and nightlife, and the capital city of Port
Louis – where you must expect to bargain vigorously!
With its warm tropical weather all year-round,

Day 11
Return transfer to Mauritius Airport for your
flight home.
