VRI7V: Victoria Falls +
Mozambique
Day 1
 Arrive Livingstone Airport, Zambia where you
will be met by a hotel representative and transferred to
your hotel on the banks of the Zambezi River, near the
mighty Victoria Falls.
Check in, settle-in and relax whilst you catch your
first glimpses of the magnificent Smoke That Thunders
first discovered by Dr. David Livingstone and still one
of the greatest natural wonders of the world. The flow
of water over the Victoria Falls is greatest during the
wet months (February to June) but the falls are a
magnificent sight at any time of year.
Day 2
Today explore on foot the mighty Victoria Falls
situated close to your hotel and offering magnificent
views.
 Later
relax by the swimming pool and enjoy the many pleasures
of your hotel, or participate in one of the many local
activities, such as a helicopter flight over the falls
or an elephant-back safari.
Adrenalin seekers can participate in many adventure
holiday activities, such as canoeing in the gentler
rapids above the falls; white water rafting in the
turbulent gorge below the falls (grade 5) or watch bungi
jumping from Victoria Falls Bridge! There is also an
interesting local craft market.
On one afternoon enjoy a Sunset Cruise on the Zambesi
River to see hippos, crocodiles and the abundant bird
life.
Day 3
Return transfer to Livingstone Airport for your 2-hour
flight to Johannesburg.
You will be met at Johannesburg Airport and transferred
to your hotel for overnight.
Day 4
Take the free hotel shuttle to Johannesburg Airport
for your flight to Vilanculos, Mozambique.
 If
you are travelling to Benguerra Island, you will be met
at Vilanculos Airport by a hotel representative and
transferred by boat to the island. If you are travelling
to Bazaruto Island, connect with your light aircraft for
your short flight to the island, where you will be met
and transferred to your hotel. Either way, your island
transfer will be an exciting introduction to these two
main islands of spectacular Bazaruto Archipelago Marine
Park.
Check in to your luxury lodge, settle-in and relax on
this Indian Ocean holiday island with its vast unspoilt
beaches fringed by palm trees and enjoy your beautifully
prepared dinner.
Please note that only soft sports bags are allowed on
light aircraft flights with a strictly enforced luggage
limit between 12kg-20kg, depending upon the size of the
aircraft. Surplus luggage can be stored by prior
arrangement.
Days 5 to 7
 Enjoy lazy days swimming in the warm turquoise waters
of the Indian Ocean, sunbathing on deserted
golden beaches and snorkelling off the beach amongst
fish of all descriptions.
You have unlimited access to all non-motorised water
sports, including windsurfing, kite flying, ocean ski
paddling and catamaran sailing. Or simply relax and
enjoy the warm sunshine under endless blue skies.
Scuba divers can explore the renowned pristine
Mozambique reef in warm water and fishermen can try
their hand at light tackle, fly-fishing or exhilarating
deep-sea game fishing, in waters considered to be the
best for marlin in the world.
Later enjoy a romantic Dhow sunset cruise and walk
along the endless beach exploring your island, with its
prolific bird life (over 100 different species,
including flamingos and pelicans).
Each evening enjoy a romantic dinner and understand
what it means to be in paradise!
Day 8
Return transfer to Vilanculos for your onward
flight to Johannesburg Airport.
