WPC7M: Wedding: Kruger Park +
Cape Town
Day 1
Arrive Mpumalanga Airport, after your 1-hour
connecting flight from Johannesburg.
Meet your Safari Wedding host, who will introduce you
to the beauty of the Eastern Transvaal on your scenic
2-hour drive to the world famous Kruger National Park,
where game-viewing opportunities should present
themselves almost immediately in this vast 2-million
hectare game sanctuary.
Hopefully you will see several species of antelope,
zebra, wildebeest and maybe even giraffe before we reach
your luxury private lodge, where your host will discuss
your wedding arrangements and show you the outdoor
wedding venue. You may choose either a Civil or
Religious ceremony and a 4-star or 5-star luxury game
lodge.
Check in, settle-in and relax in your bushveld
surroundings and enjoy your first safari game drive in
an open-top game viewing vehicle accompanied by a
lodge ranger, in search of the Big 5. Later enjoy a
delicious outdoor dinner in the boma.
Day 2
Set off early each morning on an open-top game
viewing drive with your lodge ranger, to take
advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the
day.
Explore the vast Kruger Plains, which offer
magnificent game viewing opportunities and the highest
concentration of lion in the whole of Africa. Hopefully
we will see some of the Big Five today - Lion,
Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and
Rhino, before returning to camp for breakfast.
The rest of the morning is free for relaxing at camp
or beside the swimming pool. Alternatively enjoy a
Guided Walk with a lodge ranger, to study some of
the smaller animals, insects and trees of the park.
In the afternoon enjoy another open-top game drive
with your ranger. With nearly 150 different species of
mammals and over 100 species of reptiles in the Kruger
Park, we hope to see hippos, crocodiles, cheetah,
giraffe, kudu, sable antelope, waterbuck, warthogs,
baboons, wild dogs and a wide variety of other
interesting animals. With over 500 different bird
species in the park, outstanding bird watching is also
guaranteed - including eagles, vultures, storks, fish
eagles and kingfishers.
In the evening, enjoy the balmy weather and pristine
stars of the Southern Sky and Milky Way, as you have
never seen them before – including the spectacular
Southern Cross.
[NB: Children<12: open top game viewing
restrictions may apply. Please enquire when booking]
Day 3
Wake at leisure on this your WEDDING DAY.
Around midday meet your Marriage Officer to
discuss your wedding and the significance of the
commitment you are about to make to each other. This is
your opportunity to raise any special requests you may
have regarding the ceremony.
Then relax and enjoy every moment of this your
special day, without any of the pressures of a formal
wedding, as you exchange vows in one of the world’s
greatest conservation areas in a uniquely African
setting under warm blue skies! Your photographer will
record special moments, as you create memories of a
lifetime.
After exchanging your vows, toast your marriage with
champagne. Then enjoy a celebratory game drive at
sunset, followed by a romantic dinner under the stars in
the atmosphere that only the African bushveld can
provide.
