Day 1
You will be met at Cape Town Airport and transferred to your hotel in this beautiful city, within sight of Table Mountain.

Check in and relax in your magnificent surroundings.
Day 2
Today is free for independent sightseeing in Cape Town.

To orientate yourself, we suggest you purchase a pass onboard the convenient Red Route Hop-Off Bus, which stops at all Cape Town’s key sights and attractions, including the Table Mountain cable car (discounted tickets are sold on the bus). Here you can ascend and enjoy one of the world's most famous views.

Continue to trendy Camps Bay beach and the many attractions of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront (pay all entrance fees locally).

Note: Don't let the colour of the bus confuse you. All buses are red, but they run two different routes - the Red City Route and the Blue Kirstenbosch Route.
Day 3
Today we recommend an optional full day shared tour to the beautiful Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, where you may see baboons, ostrich and perhaps even dolphins or whales in season (July/November).

Your tour travels through Hout Bay and along spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive to the Cape Point peninsula, returning via Simons Town, Fish Hoek, Constantia and Kirstenbosch Gardens. This is a scenic tour of the whole Cape Peninsula, with the optional opportunity of visiting the penguin colony at Boulders Beach.
Day 4
At leisure to relax and explore the "Mother City" of Cape Town.

Many optional activities are available in this beautiful city. You can visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned (advance booking essential in season) and explore the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

You can also take the Hop Off bus (Blue Route) to visit world famous Kirstenbosch Gardens, enjoy a city tour or simply relax on golden Camps Bay Beach.
Day 5
Today we suggest you make your own way through the pedestrianised area to the Clock Tower on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in good time to board the ferry to Robben Island, the infamous prison home of Nelson Mandela. The guides are all former prisoners, each able to provide their own personal insight into conditions on the island and a very poignant experience - but advance booking in season is essential, as the ferry capacity is limited.

Balance of day free to explore the shops and restaurants of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

Note: You will need to take your passport for identification, when visiting Robben Island.
Day 6
Transfer 45-minutes from Cape Town to the beautiful Stellenbosch Winelands.

Check into your hotel in this famous wine producing area, relax under the giant oak trees and savour the fine food and wines of this region.
Day 7
We recommend an optional full day shared tour through the renowned Stellenbosch Winelands today, travelling through the scenic Franschhoek Valley where a handful of French Huguenot refugees started South Africa’s now famous wine industry.

Explore the historic university town of Stellenbosch and several wine estates on this famous wine route, which stretched from Paarl through to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Enjoy a cellar tour and some wine tasting, before returning to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Alternatively use the Vine Hopper hop-off bus to explore the Winelands by yourself.

Note: The Vine Hopper does not operate on Sundays.
Day 8
At leisure to relax in beautiful Stellenbosch, surrounded by its mountains and vineyards.

You can explore this old university town with its many street markets, craft shops and museums, including the Modern & Contemporary Art Gallery, or visit Stellenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Alternatively enjoy wine tasting using the Vine Hopper hop-off bus.

Note: Vine Hopper bus does not operate on Sundays.
Day 9
Today transfer 3-hours from Stellenbosch to Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, situated at the foot of the Warmwaterberg Mountains in the heart of the Little Karoo.

After checking into your lodge, enjoy an afternoon game drive on these vast dry plains. Then relax and enjoy dinner under a superb night sky free of any light pollution.

Note: The last 1-hour to your lodge is on a gravel road.
Day 10
Rise at dawn to enjoy a open top game drive with your ranger today in the vast Sanbona Wildlife Reserve, which is the size of Singapore.

Home of the rare white lion, Sanbona covers over 54,000 hectares of undulating mountains and plains in the arid yet spectacularly beautiful Little Karoo. Here you will find a wide variety of plains game such as cheetah, antelope, giraffe, kudu, impala and zebra - as well as elephants, buffalo and the rare riverine rabbit amongst many other species. On a relaxing boat ride on the lake, you will also see hippos and crocodiles.

The rest of the morning is free to relax by the lodge swimming pool and enjoy the indigenous flora and rock formations, before setting out again in the late afternoon for another game drive. There is also the opportunity to walk to see Bushman cave painting and in the evenings enjoy superb star gazing in the clear dark skies of the Karoo.
Day 11
Today transfer 3.5-hours to Cape Town Airport for your flight home.
