Day 1
Arrive Johannesburg Airport, collect your hire car and drive to your airport hotel in this thriving city.

Check in and relax by the swimming pool under warm blue South African skies.
Day 2
This morning leave Johannesburg and drive 5-hours to Mpumalanga - "the place where the sun rises", travelling eastwards through Witbank, before dropping several hundred feet into the subtropical Lowveld.

Check into your lodge situated near the entrance to the world famous Kruger National Park and relax in the atmosphere that only the African bushveld can provide.
Days 3 To 4
Today is devoted to self drive game viewing in the Kruger National Park (pay entrance fee locally). We recommend setting off early each morning as the camp gates open (04h30 to 06h00 depending on the season), to take advantage of the best game viewing conditions of the day.

Explore the famous Kruger National Park, which offer magnificent game viewing opportunities and the highest concentration of lion in the whole of Africa. Hope to see several of the Big Five - Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Leopard and Rhino - as well as many other species.

With nearly 150 different species of mammals and over 100 species of reptiles in the Kruger National Park, you can hope to see cheetah, giraffe, hippo, kudu, crocodiles, sable antelope, waterbuck, warthogs, baboons, wild dogs and many other interesting animals. With over 500 different bird species including eagles, kingfishers, vultures and storks, outstanding bird watching is also guaranteed.

Return to your lodge in the late afternoon and after a beautiful African sunset, enjoy the balmy evening and pristine stars of the Milky Way as you have never seen them before – as well as the spectacular Southern Cross.

Note: Vehicles are not allowed to drive off-road in any national park in South Africa. Optional open top game drives can also be booked through your lodge.
Day 5
Today we suggest a full day tour to the green Blyde River Canyon - the third largest in the world.

Enjoy wonderful views from Pinnacle Rock, Wonder View and the Three Rondavels lookout, with the option to take the Graskop Gorge lift (pay locally if you wish to do this activity, as it involves a fairly strenuous walk with plenty of steps & crossing a suspension bridge). Also visit the Lisbon Falls and the unusual Bourkes Luck Pot Holes - cylindrical holes formed from the swirling waters of the Blyde and Treur Rivers.

Afterwards we suggest you continue to Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, where you have the unique opportunity of viewing wild lion, leopard, cheetah, eagles and vultures at close quarters. Animals found injured, poisoned or orphaned are given a second chance and released back into the wild (check tour times & pay entrance fee locally).

Note: Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre is closed on Sundays.
Day 6
Today drive 4-hours through the scenic Eastern Transvaal to Pretoria (now called Tshwane).

This city is the administrative capital of South Africa and is renowned for its jacaranda trees that flower from September to November.
Day 7
Today drive for 2-hours through the rural North West Province to the resort of Sun City.

Check in, settle in and relax in your lush subtropical surrounding and enjoy the many facilities of your resort, which offers the best of Vegas-style gaming combined with world-class sporting and entertainment facilities.
Days 8 To 10
Relax and enjoy the many facilities of Sun City.

Although originally established as a gaming resort, today Sun City offers a wide variety of outdoor, sporting and leisure activities - with its wonderfully warm weather having made it one of South Africa’s most popular holiday destinations.

The resort has many beautiful swimming pools, whilst the "Valley of the Waves" water park has gentle rides as well as thrilling steep slides and a tropical beach with real waves. There are a wide variety of water sports on the dam, as well as adventure activities such as quad biking and the famous zip wire.

The resort has two world class golf courses at the Gary Player Country Club and Lost City - where crocodiles can be found in one of the water hazards - as well as tennis courts, gym and an outstanding spa. The resort also offers a wide variety of restaurants.

If you would like to gamble the entertainment centre offers slot machines and bingo, whilst the casino offers black jack, roulette and more. Outside there are waterfalls, a walk-through aviary and abundant tropical bird life.
Day 11
Drive 2-hours to Johannesburg Airport for your flight home.
