Check in and relax in your magnificent surroundings.
Day 2
Today enjoy a full day private tour of the beautiful city of Cape Town.

Weather permitting, we start by ascending Table Mountain by cable car to see one of the world's most famous views (alternatively we will drive up Signal Hill). We then drive around the city to see the key sights including the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, City Hall, Greenmarket Square, Houses of Parliament, Bo Kaap, Castle of Good Hope, District Six and Sea Point.

After lunch (own account) we continue to beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens, nestled on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain and regarded as one the most beautiful botanic gardens in the world. Bequeathed to the nation by Cecil John Rhodes, the garden was established 1913. There is an avenue of camphor trees, a beautiful protea and fynbos garden, useful plants garden, sculpture garden and a dell garden as well as a world class collection of indigenous South African flora. Wonderful summer sunset concerts are held in the gardens on Sunday evenings from December to March.
Day 3
At leisure to relax at your hotel or independently explore the vibrant Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.

You can also visit the Mandela Legacy Exhibition at the City Hall, but if you want an accessible transfer this needs to be booked in advance.
Day 4
Today your guide will collect you for a full day tour to the beautiful Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.

Enjoy wonderful ocean views as we drive around the Cape Peninsula to naval Simonstown, where we visit the resident penguin colony at Boulders Beach.

We continue to Cape Point where we hope to see baboons, ostrich and perhaps even dolphins or whales in season (July to November). We take an accessible funicular ride up to the Old Lighthouse, before returning via spectacular Chapman’s Peak Drive to Hout Bay and Cape Town.
Day 5
Today your guide will transfer you 2-hours from the Cape Peninsula along the scenic coastal route through Gordon’s Bay and along the False Bay coast to the small seaside town of Hermanus.

Along the way we stop at Harold Porter Botanical Gardens, which is renowned for its fine collection of fynbos (meaning "fine bush"). Situated between the mountains and the sea, in the heart of the Cape Fynbos region, it lies in the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve and comprises 10-hectares of cultivated fynbos garden and 190-hectares of natural fynbos shrubland vegetation.

We continue to Hermanus where, from July to November, southern right and humpback whales come to breed. This is considered one of the best location for land-based Whale Watching in the world. Once severely endangered, these magnificent creatures of the deep are now breeding successfully in the area due to a major international conservation effort.

On arrival check in to your hotel and enjoy the natural beauty of the coastline.
Day 6
This morning your guide will introduce you to more of the contrasting beauty of South Africa on your scenic 4-hour drive along spectacular Route 62 through the dramatic Little Karoo to Oudtshoorn.

Along the way we stop at the historic town of Swellendam - the third oldest town in South Africa, with some wonderful examples of Cape Dutch architecture. We also enjoy tastings at two Wine Estates, one renowned for its port.
