It is set around a sleepy harbour and is also served by ferries from Buenos Aires, which is just 45 minutes away. The Barrio Historico (Historic Quarter) is surrounded on three sides by water, with incredible sunsets! One of the finest attractions in Montevideo is the National History Museum, housed in five buildings in the Old City.
