Kruger National Park has a warm subtropical climate.
The best time to visit Kruger National Park for game viewing is from April to September. These are the mild winter months, when it is warm in the day but cold at night. The bushveld is dry, the grasses are low and the animals need to come to the waterholes to drink.
The summer months are very hot, with heavy rains from November to March. However, this the best time for birding as this is when the migrants visit.
