When to go to Namibia

Namibia has a hot, dry and sunny desert climate, except for the cooler Atlantic Coast and the sub-tropical Caprivi region.
 
May to October is generally regarded as the best time to visit Namibia, as this avoids the extreme heat of midsummer, but evening temperatures can drop significantly.
 
Birding is best from September to November (spring) and March to April (autumn), when migrants are still present.
