When to go to Colombia

As Colombia is situated on the equator, it does not have different seasons and can be visited all year round.

It does however have dry and rainy periods, so the best time to visit Colombia is from December to March, and July to September, as these are both dry seasons.

Bogota is situated at high altitude in the Andes and has a cool alpine climate. Cartagena and the Caribbean coast are very hot, humid and sunny virtually all year round. The Amazon is also very hot and humid all year, but not quite as hot as Cartagena.
