We are also looking after customers who are still abroad and ensuring they return home safely. If you are concerned about a family member currently travelling do get in touch. I would like to thank each of our customers who have already been contacted for your kindness and understanding in these difficult times. Our brilliant team will continue to support you throughout this crisis, as we are set up to work remotely. May I take this opportunity to send our best wishes to you and your loved ones during these unprecedented circumstances.

When to go to Costa Rica

The best time to visit Costa Rica varies depending on the region you wish to visit, as this small country is situated on a narrow isthmus separating two major oceans - with the weather on the drier Pacific side of the mountains that determine the continental divide, being opposite to the much wetter Caribbean side.
The best time to visit the Pacific Coast is from November to May, with Guanacaste & the north coast being much drier than the south coast, including Manuel Antonio & the Osa Peninsula. The heaviest rains fall in September and October, which should be avoided. Olive Ridley sea turtles nest along the Pacific coast all year at new moon, but especially from June to December. Whale watching can be done almost all year round, as from mid July until mid October humpback whales travel up from Antarctica to breed, whilst from December to March northern hemisphere whales travel down from Alaska, although these are much harder to see.
The best time to visit Arenal Volcano & the Caribbean Coast is from May to October, but you can expect rain at any time of year, with high humidity at the coast. The weather can also vary dramatically within one day.
The best time to see turtles nesting or hatching is July to October (Caribbean coast) and June to December (Pacific coast).
The best time for birding is from December to March.
