Nepal's climate varies with altitude and is temperate alpine on the lower mountainous slopes and sub-tropical in the south.
The best time to visit Nepal is from September to November (autumn) when the days are warm and the skies are clear. March to May (spring) is shoulder season, when spectacular rhododendrons bloom. January and February can be very cold, especially at night, but will reward you with incredible views and quieter trails.
You should avoid June to August, when the heat and humidity levels increase, the monsoon rains arrive and clouds obscure the mountains.
